Proposition 65 Warning
About Proposition 65
What is Proposition 65?
Proposition 65, officially the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity.
⚠️ CA WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to nickel, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and to lead, cadmium, and chromium, which are known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
Why does Candy Club include this warning?
Candy Club strives to comply with all applicable laws, including Proposition 65. We provide this notice to ensure compliance. The warning does not mean that our products will cause any harm. The California government has clarified:
“The fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe.”
